I love scouting and equally camping. I’ve been a leader in various troops over the years and have to say that this is the best well run troop of them all. It’s rewarding to see the scouts learn so much, make new friends and develop into responsible young men. I had a great scouting experience growing up in Murray, Utah with my passionate dad as a scout leader and now it’s my turn to give back by guiding, inspiring and teaching the future leaders of our communities. I enjoy sharing my love for the amazing outdoor activities like kayaking, rafting, snowboarding, camping, outdoor cooking and hiking with the members of our troop..

Cade Groll

Senior Patrol Leader

Cade is a hardworking young man who is kind, and helps out when he is around. He has been the SPL (Senior Patrol Leader) since out scout camp at camp Loll in June of 2025 (See front page) and has been doing a great job!

Chris Preston

Committee Chairman

Chris became the committee chair in January 2023. He is a former Varsity Coach, Venturing Advisor, and Charter Organization Representative. Active as an adult leader in scouts for over twelve years, he is also an Eagle Scout. When not doing things for the troop, he can frequently be found playing racquetball, pickleball, baseball (or any other sport his kids talk him into), walking the dog, reading Russian novels, or collecting stamps. Scouting has always been an important aspect of his life, and he enjoys sharing this experience with the scouts in the troop.
